Obituary- Helen Tate (Luke)

Helen was born on March 11, 1927, to Edwin Franklin Tate, and Florence Morrison Horne Tate, In Richfield, Utah. She left this mortal life on July 7, 2000. The family moved to Salt Lake City in 1930 where Helen graduated from South High School. She attended the University of Utah where she met and married Fred Harrison "Harry" Luke, on August 29, 1946. They were later divorced. She never remarried, and her siblings and friends became her family.
She is survived by four brothers, Gerald "Gary" Tate, Howard (Carol) Tate, Boyd (Thelma) Tate, and Burton (Jeanne) Tate; a sister, Marjorie (Ralph) Kelson; a sister-in-law, Helen (Roland) Wyatt; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an older sister, Leah Tate (Fred) Wyatt; and brothers, Joseph Stanford Tate, and Roland Wyatt; sisters-in-law, Ruth Beagley (Gary) Tate, and Flora (Joseph) Tate.
We as Helen's family wish to express our thanks to the nurses and staff of the Live Oaks Living Center for the care and comfort they gave Helen while she was there, also Rosalie Rowsey for the gracious service she gave to Helen, and especially to her special friend Betty Francis who remained a true friend through all of Helen's problems. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2000 at 1 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave. and "N" Street, Salt Lake City. Services are under the direction of Russon Brothers Salt Lake Mortuary.
